The winter storm is here, and some Houstonians are feeling the effects of our days-long Arctic blast more than others. With rolling power outages, hazardous roadways and more winter-centric concerns that are pretty foreign to most residents of the Bayou City, here s what you need to know now:
Updated 11:32 a.m. February 19Â
Water pressure is coming back up in Houston. Today, the city is averaging 32â34 psi, although there are still some pockets that still have about 20 psi. Â
âWe are making steady, sustainable progress,â but itâs going to take time to get out and stay out of the boil-water notice, said Public Works Director Carol Haddock. She reminded people to boil water for at least two minutes. Itâs expected that the notice will remain until Monday. Haddock asked for patience, but if you still have low water pressure at the end of day today, call Public Works.
