The Birmingham Public Schools board of education did not have to look far to find its next permanent superintendent.
The board of education selected Embekka Roberson, the district s assistant superintendent for student learning and inclusion, to lead the school district that spans Birmingham and parts of Bloomfield Township, Troy and West Bloomfield Township during a special meeting held June 8 at the BPS administration offices in Beverly Hills. Embekka Roberson, Assistant Superintendent for Student Learning and Inclusion for Birmingham Public Schools
Benjamin Mainka, Superintendent of Swartz Creek Community Schools in Swartz Creek
