It will be a challenging season for the top class pacers in New Brunswick if Blood Money maintains his current form.
The five-year-old son of Sweet Lou - Blood Diamond toyed with his competition in the Winners Over feature on Saturday (May 15) at Exhibition Park Raceway. With owner Dr. Mitch Downey at the controls, Blood Money forged his way to the front from the outermost post five and dictated the terms from there. No challengers allowed Downey to steal pedestrian opening fractions of :30.2 and 1:01, before gradually picking up the pace in a :29.2 third quarter and sprinting home in :28.4 to win by more than five lengths in 1:59.1 a tick slower than his effort over a track rated two seconds slower a week ago.

Harness racing returns to New Brunswick on Saturday afternoon (May 8), as Exhibition Park Raceway, in Saint John, will raise the curtain on its 18-day 2021 meeting.
The five-race program is highlighted by a $1,600 winners-over pace, carded as the finale. Black-type performer Blood Money brings impressive credentials into his New Brunswick debut, and will start from the outside post in the field of five with Mitchell Downey at the helm for trainer Ellen Stevenson. The son of Sweet Lou won the 2018 Matron Stakes as a rookie, along with stakes races in the Pennsylvania and Kentucky programs, took his mark of 1:50 last summer at Harrah s Philadelphia, and has amassed over $430,000 in his career.

A new report shows each and every interaction that police had with enraged voters, disgruntled poll workers and errant election judges during the 2020 election in Harris County.
The Precinct 1 Constable s Office led the Harris County Election Security Task Force, a small unit comprised of deputies, county lawyers, prosecutors and election clerks that monitored polls during early voting and on Election Day.
Friday s report details 77 interactions between deputies and the public that related to anything elections: From damaged campaign signs to allegations of voter fraud, the report tells all.
