Ellen DeGeneres Expands Ellen Fund to Protect Endangered Species Seen in Discovery+ Doc

The campaign seeks to raise $1 million that will be used to create programs and support nonprofits that protect communities featured in the documentary.
Timed to today s Earth Day, Discovery+ released the documentary
Endangered, a project that takes a deep dive into how conservationists work to protect endangered species, specifically gorillas, clouded leopards, Indonesian songbirds, sharks, frogs, lemurs and giraffes.
The project is narrated and executive produced by Ellen DeGeneres, who, in addition to her hosting and producing duties, is a passionate wildlife activist. In 2018, DeGeneres s wife, Portia de Rossi, launched a foundation for her as a gift, The Ellen Fund. The organization first focused on securing refuge for wild mountain gorillas by supporting a 12-acre science and education campus for the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund in northern Rwanda. That area
