CANTON-Canton Main Street is happy to announce the March Spotlight of the month, Don & Nancy’s Café, located at 124 N. Main St.
Don & Nancy’s Café has become a popular staple business in the downtown offering one of the best breakfast and lunch menus in town.
Don and Nancy’s Café is privately owned by Jesse and Elizabeth Kidd. Jesse had worked as a chef in Peoria for 12 years. Jesse and his wife decided to start a family and Jesse wanted to be able to spend more time at home, so they made the decision to open a breakfast and lunch café.

A new initiative designed to get more young people involved in the tech sector will have educational benefits beyond high school students.
Yesterday, the provincial government announced the Technology Career Pathway Program through a partnership with the CNA and the English School District.
The program will allow high school students to complete post-secondary courses in Python programming, earning them a course credit and a “micro-credential” from the college.
While the focus of the program is the students, CNA CEO Elizabeth Kidd says high school teachers will benefit as well because they will be working with college instructers to implement the program.
