Jason Christie Earns Sixth Bassmaster Win At Sabine River Elite

With a four-day total of 43 pounds, 15 ounces, Jason Christie of Park Hill, Okla., has won the 2021 Dovetail Games Bassmaster Elite at Sabine River sponsored by Bassmaster Fishing 2022 – the official video game of B.A.S.S.
Claiming his sixth Bassmaster victory, Christie posted his best effort on Day 1 with a second-place limit of 15-1. He took over the top spot on Friday by adding 13-14 and held that position on Day 3 with a limit of 6-12. He closed the deal with a Championship Sunday limit that weighed 8-4.

FLORENCE, Ala. Brock Mosley believes current will play a prominent role in the Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite at Pickwick Lake, and the Mississippi pro will be monitoring the Tennessee Valley Authority app regularly for water release schedules because of it.
Competition days will be March 18-21 with daily takeoffs from McFarland Park at 6:45 a.m. CT and weigh-ins each day at the park at 3 p.m.
Mosley’s hardly a go-with-the-flow kind of guy but knows current strength greatly impacts this TVA reservoir. Water movement definitely benefits bass anglers, but too much of a good thing can become a not-so-good thing. As of early March, Pickwick Dam was releasing approximately 157,000 cubic feet per second a figure Mosley hopes to soon see tapering.

The Canadian pro has a three-day total of 48-13, potentially setting himself up for his first career Elite Series victory.
Gustafson holds just nearly an 8-pound advantage over Alabama pro Steve Kennedy, who rebounded on Day 3 with a 20-14 bag of largemouth that lifted him from 19th to 2nd place with a three-day total of 40-15.
Unlike the previous day where he suffered through a couple of lulls and struggled to land his fifth keeper, Gustafson caught fish most of the day Saturday, filling his limit of 18-inch smallmouth within the first hour.
