A crash in Petaluma on Sunday leads to the arrest of a 21-year-old for a DUI hit and run collision. Officers responded to a crash report in the area of Lakeville Highway and South McDowell Boulevard with the reporting party alleging the driver fled the scene. After getting a vehicle description from the party, including the license plate number, officers were later able to locate the vehicle and the driver, Elias Vasquez. Officers observed signs of alcohol consumption from Vasquez as well as alcoholic containers in his vehicle. Vasquez was then arrested for the misdemeanor crimes. No one was hurt in the collision.
