WASHINGTON — Rep. Claudia Tenney of New York’s 24th District said she has joined 134 House Republicans and 41 Senate GOP members in filing a “friend of the court” brief
House Republicans are calling out President Joe Biden’s push, under an executive order, to field federal employees to vote, register voters, and serve as poll workers during elections.
Congresswoman Elise Stefanik said in a statement that the decision is "unAmerican," while Congresswoman Claudia Tenney said it was "a direct attack on our democracy."
GOP lawmakers and other conservative critics are working to expose and fight a secretive executive order by President Biden to expand voter participation in elections, which they suspect has become a powerful government-wide complement to private left-wing election financing that could tip the 2024 campaign illegally and unfairly in Democrats’ favor.
