Ekiti State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun Corps, on Friday, arrested four suspected kidnappers in Eda Oniyo, Ilejemeje local government area of the State.
The Amotekun corps commander, Brigadier General Joe Komolafe (retd) while speaking with newsmen on Friday said the four suspects were coming from Sokoto into the state.
He gave the names of the suspects as Abubakar Sule, Sheu Usman, Abubakar Babangida and Sheu Mamuda.
He explained that during the routine patrol of the personnel, the four suspects who were said to be herders were intercepted and arrested on motorcycle around 9 am on Friday.

In what could be described as a deliberate attempt in ensuring effective security of lives and property in Ekiti State, Governor Kayode Fayemi has earmarked a sum of N1.4 billion for the State Security Network Agency codenamed Amotekun Corps in the 2021 fiscal year.
The Governor had on December 23, 2020, assented to the budgetary provision christened “Budget of Recovery and Economic Restoration,” comprising N58.4 billion recurrent and N51.6 billion capital expenditures.
The Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mr Femi Ajayi, while given the budget breakdown and analysis of the N109.6 billion appropriation for 2021 in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital at the weekend said the amount would be used to provide modern technological equipment for the security outfit and strengthened the capacity of the personnel.
Ekiti State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun Corps, yesterday, vowed to go tough against criminal elements still operating within the state, saying there would be no hiding place for them.

Ripples Nigeria had reported how Mr Ajayi was kidnapped alongside his cousin, Oluwaseun Fatile on Friday but Amotekun corps rescued Fatile from the gunmen same day.
Mr Ajayi was said to have been rescued in a forest in Isapa community of Kwara state at about 3pm on Monday.
Speaking with newsmen in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital on Monday, the Amotekun Corps commander, Brigadier General Joe Komolafe (rtd) said the victim was rescued from the kidnappers after serious hot chase.
