they say the government isn t going to protect people. they re telling people to defend themselves. the army is everywhere but the army is not doing anything. that was the student taking part in the protests at the united nations headquarters in new york saturday. her family back in egypt has been left to defend itself amid the uprising there. just one of the many voices far from the turmoil expressing concern. you know, another show of support for egypt s demonstrators came outside the egyptian embassy in washington early saturday afternoon. the egyptian american community came out in forceful this protest was organized by a group call the egyptian association for change. it supports opposition leader mohamed elbaradei s calls for reform. demonstrators turned out in yemen as well. about 100 people protested. they expressed support for the
