this morning. i want to get to the number we have from the national center for education. their statistic on this 1.5 million new college grads for 2010-2011. what are the prospects for these kids that are coming out with diploma in hand? what s your opinion on the job market in the progress so far this year? well, if you re coming out of college, you re entering a tough job market with the unemployment rate of 9% overall. but remember you have an advantage with that sheep skin which is that ton employment rate for college-educated workers is about half the overall rate. if you go to the other end of the education spectrum, high school dropouts, the unemployment rate is twice that overall rate. so you have an advantage in that employers are typically seeking workers with higher skills. but it is a tough job market. no question about it. there s over 14 million unpromoted people. we want the unemployment rate to be in the 5% range, not the 9%
