Four arrested after lockdown protest outside Holyrood Updated: 11/01/2021, 8:08 pm Police faced off with protesters outside Holyrood (Jane Barlow/PA) Four people have been arrested after protesters clashed with police as they demonstrated against coronavirus lockdown measures. A small crowd gathered at Holyrood at around 12pm on Monday to take part in the Scotland Against Lockdown event. Community liaison officers warned those who were in attendance that they would face a fine if they stay at the location, however many refused to leave. The Scotland Against Lockdown group, which organises through social media, announced last week plans to “march for freedom” through the capital from Holyrood to the First Minister’s residence at Bute House. The group held a similar demonstration last month. We are urging members of the public to stay at home and not attend a planned demonstration at the Scottish… Under current Scottish Government regulations, marches and protests are not allowed.
