About. I was somewhat effective and wouldnt it be nice if i could do Something Different i ran an organization for 20 years. I felt i needed to grow as much as the impact i made the decision to leave the organization and asked myself now what. I want to make a bigger impact thats when i ran for the school board. People said you youve been involved in the issues and being in the classroom and one that grew up and having two daughters it seems like a natural thing to get into. I judgment into being an elected official youve worked on the school board house has that prepared you. Theres a couple of of things that prepared me to be on the board of supervisors. Number one i not only came in there the ranks vs. The youth director and tutoring uneven he run your organization and you cant miss like running the organization especially, when youre faced with cuts how do you handle the cuts. And in better years when you get some Center Funding how can you use that funding effectively. So those op
Occurred, this appears to be an isolated incident. When we discover the issue we pretty much put our accounting hats on, took a look at the materiality of the finding, amounted to 3000 dollars; it was not reasonable to incur additional costs by the consultant. The last comment regarding changes in accounting standards and disclosures for pensions, we definitely will be speaking to calpurse over the next two years to determine what impact it has on the authority statement. I moved to San Francisco 15 years ago for all the reasons that we all love our city. Our cable cars. Our hills. The diversity of our neighborhoods. And have loved every minute of being here. Like many of you here, i did not actually grow up in San Francisco. I grew up in another part of the country that was not quite as tolerant or quite as diverse. San francisco drew me, as i think it through all of us, because we live in a very special place. I just want to say on behalf of the board of supervisors we have a special responsibility and a special leadership role in the world. As we come together, we symbolize all of this date we have in humanity, the faith we have in the fight for civil rights, the faith we have, frankly, as a common family. I consider myself someone who shares the progress of value that need San Franciscos many san franciscans hold dear. I do believe that a majority of this board share the same progressive values, and i think there is a danger and an overly narrow def

Where you grew up, went to school . Sure. I was born in guatemala. I was brought here by my parents. I grew up in l. A. , and then moved up to the bay area, and i went to stanford. I came back after law school. My background for the first few years was as a practicing attorney. I worked in the private sector for a number of years. And then i worked for the city as a deputy City Attorney and then became general counsel of the School District of San Francisco and through that became involved in politics and at some point decided to run for office. You have lived in San Francisco for awhile. Why did you decide to live here . Supervisor campos i have always felt that San Francisco is unique. I have always loved this city.
