We begin with a historic moment for the american presidency. Last night the u. S. House of representatives voted to impeach President Trump, making him only the third u. S. President ever to be impeached. The vote on two charges was mostly along party lines. Mr. Trump is accused of abusing his power and obstructing congress in a scheme to get ukraine to dig up dirt on his political rival, joe biden. As the house debate his impeachment yesterday, President Trump held a rally in michigan where he blasted democrats. Take a listen. You are the ones obstructing justice. You are the ones bringing pain and suffering to our republic for your own selfish gain. Reporter the president went on to defend himself saying he did not do anything wrong. Were going to begin with breaking developments overnight in a deadly shooting at pearl harbor. A u. S. Sailor shot three civilians, killing two of them before taking his own life. It happened yesterday at the Pearl Harbor Naval shipyard in hawaii. The base was placed on lockdown. This unfolded three days before the 78th anniversary of the japanese attack on pearl harbor. Matt piper reports. Reporter the chaos and confusion began around 2 30 local time wednesday afternoon. I did report that joint base security personnel did respond to the report of an active shooter today. Reporter the military says a navy sailor armed with a gun just started shooting. I looked out in time to see the shooter who was i assume a sailor because he was in uniform. Reporter three civilians were shot, two of them were killed. Were tracking quite an active weather pattern across the entire country for our thanksgiving week. The first storm were tracking is this low sitting right over the rockies, dumping between 6 to 12 inches of snow. Once everything is said and done it the move to the great plains, upper midwest, and willing end up in the east. The next storm were eyeing is this low thats sitting over the pacific. Were going to continue to see rain, wind, and, of course, heavy snowfall for most of the pacific northwest, northern california, and eventually Southern California, as well. This storm that were talking about thats sitting over the rockies currently will continue to the east as we mentioned. Once it gets there, were expecting snow and wind. The impeachment inquiry into President Trump is moving into the next phase. The House Judiciary Committee will soon decide whether to imhmenainst e president based on the investigation so far. Yesterday the House Intelligence Committee questioned its final witnesses, fiona hill, a former top russia adviser, and david holmes, a diplomat in the u. S. Embassy in ukraine. Holmes told lawmakers that he overheard Eu Ambassador Gordon Sondland discussing investigations with President Trump the day after his july 25th call with ukraines president.
