Nabati Foods ramps up production with plant-based eggs launch slated for late summer 2021 With five times the production capacity available at its newest production facility, Nabati Foods is ramping up production of its plant-based cheeze and meat products and has plans to introduce its latest innovation, plant-based eggs, later this year. Nabati Foods, a portfolio company of Eat Beyond Global Holdings, recently transitioned from its pilot plant to its new production facility in Edmonton, Canada, where it will be able to produce 1.2 million pounds of its plant-based cheese product and 1 million pounds of plant-based meat (available frozen in retail stores) annually.

Very Good Expands Plant-Based Meat Alternatives Facility

The Eat Beyond Global Holdings-owned company recently commissioned its first manufacturing line at the Vancouver, BC plant. Investment issuer Eat Beyond Global Holdings announced Tuesday that its portfolio firm The Very Good Food Company completed the commissioning of its first production line and “butchered its first bean” at its newly upgraded Vancouver, BC plant-based meat alternatives manufacturing plant. “The 45,000-sq-ft facility will significantly boost Very Good’s production capacity to meet significant online and retail demand for its plant-based alternatives,” said Patrick Morris, the chief executive officer of Eat Beyond, in a release. “Eat Beyond took a strong financial stake with The Very Good Food Company because of its value, foresight, and vision for the present and future of food. We’re excited to see this infrastructure development, positioning Very Good for a successful 2021 and the potential for even bigger growth in the years ahead.”
