Eastern Mirror Desk Dimapur, July 18 (EMN): The number of active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland has increased to 65 with 10 fresh infections — six in Kohima, three in Dimapur and one in Mokokchung — reported on Thursday, while the death toll remained unchanged at 759 with no fresh fatalities. According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID cases in the state has increased to 35,613 and the recoveries rose to 33,2836 following recuperation of two cases in Kohima and one in Dimapur during the past 24 hours. Out of 65 active cases, 25 are asymptomatic, 34 mild, four moderate on oxygen, one severe on oxygen and one in ICU on ventilator. According to the update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, six fresh cases were reported in Dimapur, five in Kohima, two in Longleng and one in Zunheboto in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of cases in the state to 35,592. Four recoveries — two in Longleng and one each in Mokokchung and Peren, were registered in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 33,271. Out of the 61 active cases, 41 are asymptomatic, 17 mild, one moderate on oxygen, and two in ICU on ventilator.
