A man faces criminal charges after a crash Monday morning in east Oak Cliff that killed a 10-year-old and injured two other children, Dallas police say.
David Lloyd Demus, 47, was arrested on a charge of intoxication manslaughter with a motor vehicle, two counts of intoxication assault with a motor vehicle, and accident involving death, police said.
Police said that about 7:20 a.m., Demus was driving north on Maryland Avenue when he drove through a stop sign and crashed into the left passenger side of a Nissan Sentra headed east in the 2500 block of East Missouri Avenue, near East Illinois and South Marsalis avenues.
