A review of a chaotic clash that broke out between police and protestors in downtown Halifax in August 2021 has been ordered by the police oversight board.
The Halifax Board of Police Commissioners has approved an independent civilian review of the police response to the August 2021 encampment eviction, set to begin next month.
The judge noted that assaults were observed on security cameras resulting in a variety of injuries, including two inmates who had to be taken to hospital.
