Outdoor concert/fundraiser at Peace of Earth Lodge June 26

Local musicians Sally Weisenburg and Don Berbaum will be performing at the Peace of Earth Lodge outdoor stage once again.
The concert is a fund raiser for the Rushville HELP Center (H.E.L.P) & the Schuyler County Humane Society (SCHS), two non-profit organizations that work tirelessly to make the community and surrounding area better. All proceeds from the concert will be divided and donated between the two.
Sally & Don always give an outstanding performance that includes blues, jazz, country, rock, Latin, and more. Sally’s spectacular vocals are always the focal point of any of their performances. Mix in her talent on the keyboard and Don’s spectacular command of the guitar and harmonica, and it’s always a great show.

Mt Hikurangi is one of those bucket list places for Kiwis. Ngāti Porou’s sacred maunga is recognised as the first place in the world to see the sun and, for many visitors, it’s a pilgrimage of great significance.

There’s nothing particularly unusual for those used to a life of luxury about a five-star pool villa, except when said pool has a warthog drinking from it. My villa fronts straight onto the wild South African bush. We’re instructed not to step outside after dark, not even for a second, in case we get eaten. But this warthog is a friendly sort. She’s nonplussed that I’m lounging in the cool water before she scampers off in search of lunch.
Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge is situated in the middle of a private game reserve in Sabi Sands, flanked by Kruger National Park.
