Arapahoe County Public Health officials held a virtual press conference Wednesday to follow up on their announcement that an Eaglecrest High School teacher died over the weekend after displaying symptoms consistent with bacterial meningitis.
Three Cherry Creek School District teachers died over the weekend, one from a suspected case of bacterial meningitis, district officials confirmed Thursday. Maddie Schmidt died of meningitis. Judith Geoffroy and Scott Nash also died.
The Cherry Creek district partnered with Arapahoe County Public Health to notify the high school community exposure to bacterial meningitis after a teacher died.
