Team manager Peter Grigg said he was hugely proud of the character the team had shown to get back in the match. Grigg said while they felt confident after winning the past two tournaments, they knew Christ’s College would be a hard team to beat – especially at home. “It’s quite an intimidating arena there, in the first half the pressure had probably been a bit much. “We knew they had it in them to win . at half-time [coach Jono Phillips] just really told the boys to get back to their own systems.” After half-time Nelson began to close the gap on the home team, bringing the scores level at 20-20.
