DICKINSON - For the first time in more than a decade, The Dickinson Police Department has a new leader in its ranks, as Joe Cianni was named the city's new police chief following a unanimous vote by the city commissioners on Tuesday.
Homeowners in Dickinson claim that failures to properly engineer drainage in new developments has led to chronic flooding and that city officials are ignoring the issue.
In addition, commissioners conduct first reading of policy amendment allowing city employees paid time off on recognized holidays and for weather and emergency closures.
