4th. north 4th. due east of moore high school. let s take the storm tracker. where is this headed? you see it is a giant barrel with a massive debris cloud and it is heading for south side of tinker, draper, over toward stella, twin lakes, mccloud and the casino dale over here to the east. it s going to clip, it s going to move into southeastern oklahoma county, red line, center line, for nuala. could go as far north as harris. still could turn up to the tinker diagonal on the southeast sides of midwest city. back to bob moore chopper 4. go, john. yeah, there it is, mike. it s fixing to cross sooner road right now. it s come into that annexed part of the like that they annexed. luckily for the time being, there s not there are very few houses in here, if any, i don t think. the think the city bought most of them out. it s continuing to track straight east and as you an see, this thing hasn t decreased in size any. and i m actually kind of getting a little closer than i want to
let s look at the pictures. yeah, let s go back to the video. thank you. there we go. there s the video. again, that s giant. as we talk to our meteorologists here, jennifer delgato and chad myers, we have chad on the phone as well. chad, are you there? yes, i am, don, i m here. what are we seeing here. watching it live. this is the storm that came across norman. didn t really put anything down there. there was a wall cloud. significant wall cloud. norman was the populated area we were so concerned about. over lake stanley draper, lake thunderbird area, now across pink. this is highway 9. it s moving just to the north of due east. that will take it into bethel acres in just a few minutes and farther to the east, i m mainly concerned, fire lake golf course area, shawnee, this is the area you see the big word, shawnee. finally off to the east. these storms have been tracking slightly north of due east. that would put it right over two very large towns. not cities proper, but
island, new york, where more than 100 agencies responded. some residents evacuated. another 2000 acres burned at the brook haven complex, a federal nuclear research facility. no buildings hit there, though. fires still burning in the pinelands at burlington county, new jersey, due east of philadelphia, dozens of firefighters responding there, digging ditch hes to digging dives to keep the flames from spreading to homes. officials are asking people across the northeast to be especially careful. right now with everything being dry and not having water over the last several days it s extremely dangerous for us. we want everybody to be on alert. reporter: fires over this large an area are unusual on the east coast. they are more typical in the west. the risks will drop as temperatures cool and winds die down during this week, martha. martha: rick, thank you very much. rick leventhal in the newsroom. bill: need moisture. dry dry dry.
