Sheikh Mohammed partially amends law on judicial authorities in Dubai

In his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, has issued Law No. (11) of 2021 partially amending Law No. (13) of 2016 concerning judicial authorities in the emirate of Dubai.
Pursuant to the new law, the Secretariat General of the Dubai Judicial Council is responsible for providing the administrative services, information, statistics and research required by the council to carry out its functions and responsibilities. The Secretary General of the Council is appointed by virtue of a decree issued by the Ruler of Dubai.

In his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, issued the decision to form the tribunal.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, issued the Decision No. (8) of 2021 to form a special tribunal to resolve disputes between heirs in relation to the sale of inherited residential property.
The special tribunal, which will abide by legislations applied in Dubai and Sharia law, will also adjudicate and issue rulings on appeals against the decisions and procedures issued by the Department of Land and Property in Dubai or the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment.
