In late August, NCPA held its quarterly meeting with members who serve on their respective states’ board of pharmacy. NCPA staff gave updates on both state and federal activity and answered questions regarding the implementation of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act. There was robust discussion regarding the Dobbs v. Jackson decision and its effects on pharmacists dispensing medications and their business across state lines. The next meeting will be in person at the NCPA Annual Convention in Kansas City.
NCPA attended the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy annual meeting in Phoenix, along with members of state boards of pharmacy from all 50 states. The gathering featured a keynote speech from Dr. Jerome Adams, MD, former surgeon general of the U.S., as well as presentations on the expanding role of pharmacy technicians and the implementation of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act.
