Community Historian Brendan Matthews considers two works in the Collection, Gabrielle Ricciardelli s View of Drogheda and Thomas Markey s Drogheda, 1921 and introduces the practice and influence of Ricciardelli s painting on Markey, and the contemporary events of the day that brought Markey to paint Drogheda 1921.
