Neshaminy Mall Carnival: Chaperone policy enforced due to 'unruly behavior' from teens, Bensalem police say

The Neshaminy Mall Carnival, held in Bensalem through May 21, will now require all juveniles to be accompanied by an adult age 21 or older due to 'unruly' and 'unacceptable' behavior during its opening weekend. Failure to comply with the new rules could result in guests being removed by police or private security guards. Bensalem police said they plan to increase their presence around the carnival for the remainder of its time in town. Each night, the carnival will now close at 10 p.m.

Vermont fairgrounds on track to return this summer

The Mountain Times By Seamus McAvoy/VTDigger Vermonters can expect a return to amusement rides, fried food and demolition derbies this summer, as most fairs plan a revival after a year off due to Covid-19, including the Vermont State Fair at the Rutland fairgrounds, which will celebrate its 175th anniversary Aug. 17-21 with two demolition derbies and a rodeo, among additional entertainment and festivities in the works. The Connecticut Valley Fair in Bradford is the only fair that will likely not open, Jackie Folsom, lobbyist for the Vermont Fairs and Field Days Association, told the House Committee on Agriculture and Forestry on Wednesday, April 28.

Lab Theater Project to present ‘Lab Laughs’ TAMPA — Lab Theater Project will present “Lab Laughs: An Evening of Comedic Shorts,” running Jan. 21-24 at 812 E. Henderson Ave. in Ybor City, with in-house and livestreaming options. A part of Lab Theater Project’s annual giving fundraiser, “Lab Laughs” focuses on original short comedic works. Eight plays will be presented this year, taking the slate international for the first time with two Canadian playwrights joining the roster.
