Residents of a Christ Church community have been left shaken and uneasy following a shooting on Wednesday night that left one of their neighbours dead.Members of the Keizer Hill Drive, Drayton Close, Enterprise community, still reeling from the shock of the incident in their peaceful district, told Barbados TODAY they are now worried about their safety.Speaking on condition of anonymity, residents said they could not believe the loud noises that shattered the quiet and serenity of their neighbourhood were gunshots that claimed the life of a man.Many said they thought the noise came from fireworks.
Ashley McAlinden jailed for five years over Stratford-upon-Avon axe attack

A man who attacked another man with an axe has been jailed.
Ashley Damian McAlinden, 24, of Drayton Close, Stratford attacked the man in Meadow Lea, Stratford on the morning of 4th June 2020 following a dispute.
Warwick Crown Court heard McAlinden aimed several swings of the axe at his victim, on one occasion catching him on the arm causing a laceration requiring stitches.
Following the attack, McAlinden fled the scene on a motorbike but was arrested a short time later in Bromford Way.
The attack took place in broad daylight and was witnessed by several members of the public.
