BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - It was 365 days ago that a UAB infectious diseases specialist was diagnosed with COVID-19.
We have often looked to Dr. Michael Saag for guidance during this coronavirus pandemic, and on Friday the 13th in March of last year, he himself was diagnosed with the virus.
And he said the irony of that date is not lost on him.
Dr. Saag found out he was infected with COVID-19 about 24 hours after finding out his son had COVID-19.
