Rutherford will succeed Zoe Callaway, who worked on more than a dozen advocacy campaigns for two years, including raising public awareness about a possible soda tax and income tax hike.
Callaway has accepted a position at the Tax Foundation in Washington, DC as Manager of Education.
“While I am saddened to see Zoe leave after such an incredible performance launching ABD to become a formidable presence in Delaware, I am very happy to see her land a much larger role in such a prestigious national organization in DC.”

MILFORD The downtown area will be a fashionable place to be on Sunday, May 16 as the Downtown Business Association hosts its inaugural Spring Soiree from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
“I think it’s going to be a fun day,” said association spokeswoman Emily Kate Swet.
The Spring Soiree is a fashion-focused outdoor event that will feature the latest styles from local boutiques and refreshments and desserts from local eateries. It will also feature mini-experiences in each participating business, such as tarot readings, mini-facial LED treatments, organic airbrush face tans and more.

A new partnership between Delaware Nature Center and the City of Milford may bring guided kayak and canoe tours to the Riverwalk
On Monday, Feb. 22, Milford City Council agreed to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Delaware Nature Society. The city and Delaware Nature Society have long partnered to provide hands-on programming for Pre-Kindergarten to fifth grade students in Milford School District.
“We’ve been working on an MOU which is a formal agreement between Parks and Recreation and the Delaware Nature Society,” Brad Dennehy, Parks and Recreation Director said. “We believe they are a good provider of programming especially anything around water. Milford has invested a lot of money in building infrastructure of the Riverwalk and I think it behooves us to use this part of the town. This allows them to put on some really good programming, everything from kayak tours to bird watching. We don’t have a playbook yet of what will be put on, but his document ju
