SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - As many still dig out of their homes and businesses as they wait for power to be restored around Lake Tahoe, a new storm is on the way and road controls remain in place for all mountain highways. Snow is expected to return by 1:00 p.m. today as new winter weather warning goes into place.
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The promised storm may have been more rain than snow at the beginning, but has since made up with snow measuring in feet this morning. Heavenly Mountain Resort reports 36" of new snow in the last 24 hours. Kirkwood is closed today. Northstar reports 29" of snow the last 24 hours, and Palisades reports the same.
