At the same time, a group opposing the project is having meetings of its own.
Apex Clean Energy is the parent company of Honey Creek Wind Farm, which company officials have said could bring millions of dollars in taxes and fees into the county over its 30-year lifespan.
Drew Christensen, public engagement manager for Apex, said previously the company plans a 360-megawatt wind project, enough to power about 102,000 homes every year. That s expected to mean roughly 75 turbines, each between 400 and 600 feet tall, he said.

BUCYRUS A planned new ramp leading to the North Walnut Street entrance will improve accessibility to the Crawford County Courthouse.
The current ramp is too steep to meet Americans with Disabilities Act guidelines, explained Doug Weisenauer, county commissioner. When it was built, it did, but now it doesn t, because it s too steep, he said. The secretary of state did an inspection, and because we have handicapped people coming in to vote, we have to change the elevation of the ramp.
The state will contribute $30,000 toward the project, he said. The architect s estimate for the total cost of the project is $120,000.
