Dorothy Miller talks Christmases | News, Sports, Jobs

cnelson@thealpenanews.com News Photo by Crystal Nelson Dorothy Miller is pictured on Tuesday near the entrance of the Besser Senior Living Community. ALPENA Dorothy Miller, 89, was a Greenbush resident for 43 years before she moved into Besser Senior Living Community in mid-November. Miller said she decided to move because her husband died two years ago and she was no longer able to handle the work at the house. She brought her cat, Winky, to live with her, and the pair took a moment on Tuesday to talk about Christmas. WHAT IS YOUR FIRST CHRISTMAS MEMORY? I can remember little stuffed lambs were really popular when I was a little girl, and I wanted one for Christmas. I was in bed, and they thought I was asleep, but I saw my daddy up in the living room carrying a black lamb. It wasn’t white, it was black, and he put it under the tree.
