asking about rob porter, well, you know, you ll have to talk to the intelligence agencies and the fbi if you want to know why this clearance could have happened when there were bad allegations in his past, specially laying it at the foot of the fbi. they had to realize there was going to be push back. you have wray wanting to show he s going to be independent, he s not going to succumb to these requests from the president for loyalty, which we know he likes to make, and that he s going to try to be a neutral arbiter, even with all this political sort of vitriol coming at him from the white house, from a president, when the president is normally supposed to stay very far away from even talking about an investigation that involves him or his administration. i assume this is one of the things that doesn t go over too well with the president, though, as he does watch coverage of it. i think that s certainly true. there s also the strange element of trump where he doesn t like someone j
way. america has a very short memory. and what i m talking about when i talk about the economy and legislative assess i remember saying that in 2000. i m going to agree with you, dan i m going to agree with dan on this point. the rhetoric of this president, the twitter bombs, it is hurting him. it is hurting the republican party. and republicans are telling me that, democrats, everybody s telling me that. and tonight the president needs to look at particularly suburban districts with this type of rhetoric, this type of schoolboy caught of in your face, doesn t go over well among college educated suburban voters. it s not his agenda they don t like. they re going to be for the tax bill that passes, for the health reform that passes.
law. there s 18 million people in the individual markets but doing the right thing by the individual markets has an effect on more than 18 million people because the insurers, there s some overlap between them. what do you think of this concept that s being developed by a number of democratic senators, medicaid for all, which seems to be code for a single payer system but they re figuring that out that doesn t go over well with republicans. is that a road worth going down? i think there s three things we ll see this month in a short period of time. one is senator sanders bill on medicaid for all. the second is senator brian shots from hawaii who will have a bill out which is more moderate version of that which is to people to buy into medicaid. very interesting concept. when one we haven t heard a lot about. then the third thing there s some news this morning that senator graham and cassidy have made progress on their bill to go back and repeal the aca again. so lest we thought it
