POLICE REPORTS: DRUG POSSESSION, THEFT, CHILD ENDANGERMENT

Indiana, PA / WDAD AM1450 & 100.3FM Feb 11, 2021 7:17 AM PSP-INDIANA State police have charged two people from Ohio with charges related to drug possession for an incident last Saturday in Shelocta Borough.  Troopers say they were dispatched at 5:55 AM on February 6 th to the CoGo’s convenience store on Ben Franklin Highway and found a car that was parked behind the store and occupied but covered in snow.  When police got there, they found 19-year-old Julianne Clawson of Doylestown, Ohio and 18-year-old Emily McGreevy of Medina, Ohio, in the car and in possession of a small amount of marijuana; THC vapes and edibles; and related drug paraphernalia.  Charges of Drug Possession have been filed at District Judge Susanne Steffee’s office.

BLACK LICK WOMAN ARRESTED TUESDAY AFTER DRUGS FOUND IN HOME

Indiana, PA / WDAD AM1450 & 100.3FM Jan 27, 2021 10:20 AM A Black Lick woman was taken into custody by state police yesterday on drug-related charges after police found several drugs and drug-related paraphernalia at her home while investigating a nearby domestic disturbance. Police say Troopers were dispatched to an active domestic incident at 9:29 AM on Liekert Avenue in Burrell Township.  The two occupants said that a man in a red hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans had kicked down the door of the home, and fled on foot to a home at 79 Liekert Avenue.  Police made contact with 49-year-old Lori M. Wisor, who owned the home at 79 Liekert, and gave them permission to enter the home to search for the man.  Troopers did find him, but as they conducted their investigation, they found a glass smoking pipe with indications that it was used for crystal methamphetamine on a shelf in the back room.

POLICE REPORTS: THREE THEFTS

Dec 28, 2020 6:43 AM PSP-INDIANA State police are investigating the theft of several chainsaws from a business in Burrell Township that was reported on December 19th.  Troopers say that $8,000 worth of chainsaws were ordered from Debnar’s Pools, Spas and Lawn on Route 22 in Burrell Township, and were sent to a location in Baltimore, Maryland before the fraud was discovered.  Officials at Debnar’s believed that the person making the order was one of their regular customers.  Six chainsaws were reported stolen.  The investigation is ongoing. State police say an Indiana woman was the victim of identity theft earlier this month.  Troopers say that an unknown person or persons tried to use the identity information of a 44-year-old Indiana woman to purchase $535 worth of items online from Walmart on December 11th.  The woman was notified by fraud protection services and the attempted theft was unsuccessful.
