At the request of Planned Parenthood Association of Utah, District Court Judge Andrew Stone has blocked a new law that was intended to ban abortion clinics.
Planned Parenthood and other clinics can continue to offer abortions in Utah, at least for now, a district court judge decided Tuesday in the latest development in a case that will determine the future of reproductive options in the Beehive State.
The law would have required abortions before 18 weeks to be performed in a hospital and criminalized abortions performed in licensed abortion clinics. Read about the judge’s decision.
