MADISON, WI (WSAU) â Wausauâs Rock 94.7 was named the medium-market music station of the year for the state of Wisconsin last week during the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Awards Gala.
âIt means a lot to win station of the year especially with how tough 2020 was on a lot of people,â said Rock 94.7 Brand Manager Ryan Fantozzi. âMy goal each day was to provide our listeners with a positive and entertaining distraction to everything that was going on. Iâm extremely proud that my staff provided that outlet for our listeners each day.â
Fantozzi also won numerous honors for interviews and features he recorded and produced with artists such as Written by Wolves, The Violent, and Diamante. All of those honors factored into the point total that led to the station of the year honor.
