Refurbishment of County Limerick national school get go-ahead By Live95 News Team Approval has been granted to refurbish the main building at Glenroe Community National School.  The works have been given the go-ahead by the Department of Education and will get underway shortly.  Glenroe CNS opened last September with Julie O’Connor appointed as Head Teacher in June. It s the first Community National School in Limerick and joins a growing network of such schools throughout Ireland. Commenting on the approval, George O’Callaghan, Chief Executive of Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board, said: “The process has commenced whereby a design team appointed by the ETB will draw up plans to refurbish the existing building, appoint a contractor and manage the construction project over the coming months to provide state-of-the-art facilities for the pupils in the school.”
