Fargo-Moorhead entered October with temperatures in the 90s this year. During last year's Halloween, temperatures were in the 70s. That's not the case this year.
The advisory will take effect at 7 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, and last until 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27. During this time, drivers are urged to go slow and use caution on the roads.
WDAY noted the records during a segment Tuesday morning, Oct. 3. Interestingly, the streak comes within the same year as a long span of below-40 temps.
AAA director of public affairs Gene LaDoucer said the summer-like temperatures expected over the holiday weekend are playing a role in getting people on the road.
