Vattenfall has sold the 38MW Jaap Rodenburg wind farm in the Netherlands to Dutch insurance company ASR for an undisclosed price.
Jaap Rodenburg is currently undergoing repowering, with the 10 existing turbines to be replaced with 10 more powerful machines.
ASR has taken over eight turbines from Vattenfall and will take the other two from local energy cooperative Almeerse Wind after construction is completed.
The old turbines have been removed and construction of the new models will start in June, Vattenfall said.
Jaap Rodenburg is expected to be operational again by the end of the year.
Vattenfall Netherlands chief executive Martijn Hagens said: “Vattenfall invests heavily in the development of wind and solar parks, but we want to do even more to make fossil-free living possible within one generation.
