In the United States, COVID-19 has struck communities of color with far deadlier force than any other segment of the U.S. population.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), nearly three times as many non-Hispanic Black individuals have died of the disease than their white non-Hispanic counterparts, laying bare long-standing inequities in the U.S. healthcare system.
