9 remanded for 3 days over marketing of fake medical testing kits 114 DHAKA, April 17, 2021 (BSS) – A court here today granted three-day remand for nine arrestees of three organizations in connection with manufacturing and marketing fake, date-expired and unlicensed COVID-19 testing kits and other medical equipment. Police produced the arrested persons before the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court with a 10-day remand prayer for proper investigation. However, Magistrate Mohammad Jasim granted three-day remand for each following the hearing. Hefazat Assistant Secretary General Shakhawat remanded for 5 days 164 DHAKA, Apr 15, 2021 (BSS)- A Dhaka court has granted a five-day remand to Mufti Shakhawat Hossain Rajib, central assistant secretary general of Hefazat-e-Islam, in a case lodged over vandalizing and setting vehicles to fire during a protest in 2013. He was produced before the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court today. At that time, the police requested to remand him in custody for 10 days for a proper investigation of the case filed against him at the Paltan Police Station. Following the hearing, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Morshed Al Mamun Bhuiyan granted a five-day remand. A DB team arrested Mufti Shakhawat Hossain Razi from Lalbagh in the capital on Wednesday evening.
