Multiple vehicle crash on Highway 58 near Lowell stalls traffic

LOWELL, Ore. - A multiple vehicle crash on Highway 58 stalled the Eastbound lane on Highway 58 near milepost 13 Saturday night, Dexter Fire officials said.
Initially, officials said one person was being transported to the hospital but when crews arrived, all drivers refused transport.
Officials said two vehicles hit a Ford Wranger that stalled on the highway.
As of 10:45 p.m. Saturday night, the eastbound lane remains closed at this time. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area.
Lane County Task Force Deploys to Wrenthem Market Fire
Their primary mission will be to protect structures and assist with fighting the fire.

COBURG, Ore. – Lane County fire crews were deployed Thursday to assist with the Wrenthem Market Fire near the Dalles.
The structure protection task force is made up Chad Minter from Coburg Fire Department and an Assistant from McKenzie Fire Department.
There will also be a type 3 Brush team from Eugene-Springfield, South Lane, and Lane Fire Authority.
A type 6 Brush from Pleasant Hill Goshen Fire and Water Tender from Dexter Fire were also deployed, making 14 people in total.

A single-engine Cessna 172 flipped over on the runway at Dexter Municipal Airport this afternoon (Dec. 11) around 12:30 pm. Luckily, the pilot was not injured.
At approximately 12:30 on 12/11/20 the Dexter Fire Dept. along with Mayo Ambulance responded to the Dexter Airport for the report of a plane that flipped over on the runaway and extent of injuries was unknown. Crews arrived to find the pilot out of the aircraft and unhurt. The runway was closed while calls were made to both the FAA & NTSB. Once the ok was given, the aircraft was removed and the runway was back open for air traffic. Units cleared the scene around 2:00pm.
