A project planned for “one of the great streets of La Jolla” in the Lower Hermosa neighborhood underwent a major redesign after the La Jolla Development Permit Review committee voted the development down in 2021.
Congregants of La Jolla Christian Fellowship and residents in the surrounding neighborhood continued to be at odds this week over a planned expansion of the church, prompting the La Jolla Development Permit Review Committee for a second time to ask the applicant to return at a future meeting.
Three projects the La Jolla Community Planning Association had seen before returned at its Sept. 1 meeting: one to subdivide a property on Fay Avenue, one intended to stabilize a bluff in Bird Rock and one to build a house on Hillside Drive.
