During the Detroit Lakes City Council meeting on Jan. 11, Detroit Lakes Police Chief Steven Todd received a Silver Award from Officer Magazine, a national law enforcement trade publication, for the design and construction of the new Detroit Lakes Police Station. Also at the meeting, three separate donations were made to the Detroit Lakes Fire Department totaling $13,500.

The upgrade would feature a linked concourse for both arenas, added seating in arena two, new locker rooms and a two-floor performance training area that could be a partnership opportunity in the proposed expansion.
