Parker said the Destin Charter Boat Association is behind the fishing class and will help get students on boats if they want during the summer.
Bass Pro Shops and Legendary Marine have offered to help with summer jobs for those students in the class.
“We’re trying to provide opportunities for the students to develop their career,” Parker said.
Capt. Brant and Laurie Kelly have stepped up to provide scholarship money for students who want to become a boat captain. The scholarship will pay for expenses for sea school and everything that goes with it.
“If you want to become a captain, we ll make sure you’re taken care of,” Parker said.
Another big seller are the Christmas ornaments, which are made in house.
They have a “treasures of the seas” ornament with local white sand and a few small shells inside. Plus, there is a bigger ornament called the “three S s of the seas” which features the sand, starfish and seahorse. All the ornaments are sold in gift boxes.
There also is a starfish ornament that comes in a gift box.
“A lot of people like our ornaments because you re not going to find that anywhere else because we make that here,” Blue said. “They are an inexpensive token to take to someone.”

Miss Destin’s primary duty is to serve during the month-long October Destin Fishing Rodeo as well as an ambassador for the city throughout the year.
“I feel like I have dreamed of this after seeing the first Miss Destin. It’s always been a dream,” Sparks said just moments after being crowned Saturday night.
“When I found out I was going to be staying here another year, it was a no-brainer to try out again,” Sparks said.
Sparks, a senior at Niceville High School, plans to attend Northwest Florida State College next year and then later transfer to the University of Florida in Gainesville.
