SANTA FE – On Friday, the New Mexico Department of Health officially updated the state s color-coded COVID-19 risk map, after health officials and Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham approved new criteria for measuring county-level risk and local restrictions on public gatherings and commerce.
The change effectively loosens restrictions in most counties, with 24 of New Mexico s 33 counties moving to the least restrictive Turquoise level, and six at the next least restrictive Green level.
