Paddlers gather on the Missouri River. The organization American Rivers has named the Lower Missouri the second most endangered river in the nation this year due to flood management issues.
The Lower Missouri and Raccoon Rivers are among the top 10 most endangered rivers in the country this year, according to the national advocacy group American Rivers. The organization is calling for concerted action at all levels of government to address flood management and the regulation of agricultural pollution, issues which pose threats to human health and safety.

We are starting to get a clearer picture of what spring will bring us. Recently, the National Weather Service (NWS) of the Quad Cities released their 2021 Spring Flood Outlook and it looks like we could see some flooding in the Quad Cities.
We always worry every year about flooding here in the Quad Cities. Of course we all still remember the HESCO barriers breaking back in April of 2019 which flooded a lot of downtown Davenport.
