While all remains quiet on the Deshaun Watson legal front, there is the small matter of Texans general manager Nick Caserio attempting to continue the colossal rebuild that remains in the wake of the disaster Bill O Brien inflicted on this team s roster as its previous general manager.
As of right now, the Texans possess eight picks in this year s draft. That s good. The problem is that they don t have their first pick until the 67th overall pick, which will occur a couple hours into the second night of the draft, early in the third round. In fact, here are the Texans picks in the draft this weekend, beginning on Friday evening in the third round:

As it stands now, four of the Texans eight picks in this draft are in the sixth and seventh rounds. John Harris tells me that the third round pick might be attractive to trade into more picks next year or maybe as currency to get another selection or two in the fifth round or higher.
In terms of draft value, sixth rounders don t exactly carry Bitcoin status, but the Texans have three of them and they might be useful to throw into a potential transaction along the way.
I m thinking there will be an attractive player for Nick Caserio to grab at pick 67. Maybe we ll see trades later on. For instance, what if they want an extra fifth round pick? Could they use the 6th rounders to wheel and deal?

Hinton, a U of T University Professor Emeritus who now works at Google and has been dubbed the “godfather of deep learning,” spoke on Tuesday about his efforts to develop a new type of artificial neural network that can recognize and interpret images better than existing systems.
One of more than 600 presenters at the annual conference that runs until April 22, Hinton noted that most current systems use convolutional neural nets that don’t recognize objects the way people do.
