Funeral services for Caddo Sheriff’s Auxiliary Deputy Lonnie L. Thacker, Sr., have been scheduled. On Saturday, July 31st, a memorial service will be held for Deputy Thacker at 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. The memorial reception will follow at 6:30 p.m. at the Moose Lodge of Shreveport. Thacker died Friday when his patrol vehicle was struck by an oncoming vehicle while he was assisting with traffic at the scene of an earlier accident on I-49 northbound. A memorial display honoring Thacker has also been established at the Caddo Sheriff’s south substation. The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s office said in a statement, “We appreciate continued prayers for his family, friends, and co-workers.”
